No Regrets
Upon youth’s ignorance we amassed mistakes and yet You reached misunderstood, rejected, recoiled and yet I reached misunderstood, rejected, recoiled and yet We danced our roles circling, sidestepping, tangibly twirling children grew and yet Playing our roles circling, pirouetting, painfully parting grandchildren grew and yet And yet the riches known the way we’ve grown upon mistakes of youth no regrets and yet
Upon youth’s ignorance
we amassed mistakes
and yet
You reached misunderstood,
rejected, recoiled
and yet
I reached misunderstood,
rejected, recoiled
and yet
We danced our roles
circling, sidestepping, tangibly twirling
children grew
and yet
Playing our roles
circling, pirouetting, painfully parting
grandchildren grew
and yet
And yet
the riches known
the way we’ve grown
upon mistakes of youth
no regrets
and yet
Beautiful. You are a STAR!!! PS> I didnt know you were a poet as well. Soooo talented!!!!
Thank you, Ma’am – just a bit of fun – juggling thought and words.
Thoughtful, and evocative.
I’ll take tips on poetry writing. Much goes on in my head but I have no confidence calling it poetry.
Ha ha, I have no confidence to call it poetry either – just like messin’ around with words and thoughts.
